Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak

The addition of the Mandeville Centre to Loreto Mandeville Hall in Toorak is a significant upgrade for the independent Catholic school for girls, and will include the school administration, staff centre, lecture theatre, Learning Resource Centre, Year 12 Centre, and a basement carpark.

The new facilities integrated a unique steel design on the building’s facades. The external steel finds across the façade offer protection from the sun and a compromise between available natural light, public appeal, and the heritage setting. Overall, the façade offers a connection between the landscape and building.
