The Level Crossing Removal Project aims to remove dangerous and congested level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne that will make commuting safer and more efficient for pedestrians, public transport, and drivers.

The Level Crossing Removal Project at Ginifer Station included lowering the rail line below Furlong Road, moving Ginifer Station to an intersection, installing platforms with perforated mesh panels and handrails, a walking and cycling path running parallel to the rail, and the relocation of the car park.

Not only has this increased safety and commute times, but it has transformed the area into a modern transport hub.
